Mom started having chest pains and pains down the left side of her neck last week. On Saturday she went to the Emergency Room to get checked out. Her heart appeared to be fine but her blood work gave them some concern that she could have a blood clot. They did a CT scan but it didn't show anything. They admitted her and kept her overnight for observation, but everything was fine while she was there. She completed the first part of a stress test on Sunday before they sent her home and she went in on Monday and did the last part of it.
Yesterday she received a phone call from her doctor and he wanted her to come in and see him. He said that a small part of her heart isn't receiving adequate blood flow. She is scheduled for and Angiogram on Monday. Let's all pray it turns out to be something minor and easily fixable.
While in the ER on Saturday my cousin Kurt came in with chest pains as well. Only his were lower and sure sounded like the gall bladder attacks I use to have. He said it was the 3rd time he had been in the last couple of months with the same thing. They didn't find anything but referred him to a surgeon. Mom ran into him at the hospital yesterday and he is having his gall bladder removed today. Hopefully that will solve his problems and he'll get feeling better.
Dad and Tyler left this morning for their annual trip to Moab with Jon and Jaron. I think Dad was nervous about leaving Mom, but she told him to go and have fun. Let's hope they use their heads and don't do anything completely stupid. We pray to see them come home safely on Sunday.
